The Sports Walk of Fame is a walkway tribute dedicated to Young’s sporting figures that honours the character and exceptional contribution of local athletes, coaches, administrators and other contributors who have achieved excellence in their sporting fields.
The Sports Walk of Fame officially launched in 2017 helping to generate a sense of community connection to its local heroes and sporting history. Located in front of Tresillian Park on Marina Street and extending across the road onto Lachlan Street, linking the pathway connecting both Alfred Oval and Hall Brothers Oval.
In close proximity to the Young Sporties Bowling Club, Tennis Courts, Aquatic Centre, Skate Park and inclusive playground designed for all ages in Tresillian Park.
