Stony Creek Orchard

Stony Creek Orchards is nestled on a scenic southerly ridge just off the Olympic Highway, south of Young in the Hilltops Region of NSW. Accessed via Spring Creek Road, the orchard sits along a picturesque loop through some of the region’s renowned cherry-growing country. Visitors can follow Pestells Lane and Hollands Road, rejoining the Olympic Highway near Ballinaclash Orchard and Cellar Door.

Owned and operated by Jeff and Bridget Sell, fourth-generation cherry growers, alongside their sons Abe and Sid, the orchard was established in 1997. The family proudly continues the cherry-growing tradition with passion, care, and a commitment to producing some of Australia’s finest cherries.

The season runs from mid-November to mid-December. Stony Creek grows modern varieties such as the Royal Tioga Hazel and Mitchell, Simone, Santina, Black Star, Sylvias, and Regina. They also still carry the well-known Ron variety.

Stony Creek welcomes those looking to visit an Orchard that is a little different from the larger-scale operations. So come for a drive through God’s Country, meet the farmers and enjoy the bite-size joy when you taste Stony Creek’s cherries.
